Investment in Technology Startups

In recent years, participating in the initial stage, or launch phase, as well as in the consolidation stage of technology startups, has proved to be extremely interesting and profitable in most cases.

Through our business partner St Paul Capital Partners, we design the investment structure in each case after analyzing the growth potential and defining the different phases, so that both we and our clients can achieve the lowest possible risk and the highest potential return.

Investment in Technology Startups

We usually define a first phase focused on research and development of the MVP — minimum viable product — with a very controlled investment, allowing our clients to participate with very limited risk because the investment tickets are small, usually EUR 5,000 or EUR 10,000.

It is in the second phase, usually a few months after the start of the project, that rounds with stronger investors are prepared. These investors also benefit from the significant tax deduction associated with investing in this type of project, 50% provided that the investment is held for at least 3 years.

In all the projects we have approached using this formula, the return has been very high, multiplying the initial investment several times over.

Nevertheless, we must not lose sight of the fact that, globally, statistics on technology startups show that while 10% are highly profitable, almost 90% disappear within their first two years. This is why we “limit” our investors’ participation in the first phase to EUR 5,000 or EUR 10,000, to ensure that the risk remains minimal despite everything.
